Scouting The Divine By Margaret Feinberg A Thought Provoking Book
Author: Troy Dooly // Category: Troy's ReflectionsScouting The Divine, by Margaret Feinberg, is truly a thought provoking book. I first heard Margaret speak at Catalyst a few years ago, and since that time have followed her through her blog, writings, podcasts and speaking engagements.

In Margaret’s latest book “scouting the divine” she has once again hit a home run.
One of the first statements which stood out in a powerful way is “Scriptures come alive in our hearts, it doesn’t inform us as much as transforms us.”
Think about those words for a second. Most of us are hit over the head with Scriptures, so by the time we become adults the last thing we want to do is to read what was used as a club against us.
Margaret, captures the true essence of a loving God in “scouting the divine.”
Another area which truly stood out is where Margaret shares how the Vintner, inspects each vine and EVERY cluster of grapes at least once and usually three or four times.
I pictured the Lord walking beside me asking me questions and wanting to make sure I am doing fine.
Although, for some the Bible may just be a dusty bookend holding up more important reading material. Or maybe, your Bible is just for family information, and you have never read any of the stories. In either case, reading “scouting for divine” will act as a door through which you will never see the Bible is the same light again.
Reading “scouting the divine” was such a refreshing look through the eyes of one of the most transparent and authentic authors of our day.

Margaret, you are a true blessing to a searching generation. Thank you for caring more than most would think is wise.
Living An Epic Adventure,
Troy Dooly
