Marine Sacrifice for wife and family

But are You WILLING to DO THE HARD WORK to Live a Meaningful Life for Them?

Taking a bullet for your wife or kids isn’t an act of bravery or heroism; it’s simply a primal instinct. Yet, many men—myself included at one time—act as if this notion demonstrates they are great husbands and fathers. However, even a lazy, beer-bellied, remote-controlling, disrespectful, and chauvinistic husband and father can respond out of his instinctual need to protect.

Many men, perhaps even you, struggle with fears, guilt, shame, or other debilitating emotions that prevent you from becoming the person you know you can be, the person you always dreamed of being. Some men try to mask these feelings or their selfish actions by being controlling, domineering, or chauvinistic. Others avoid being at home, working long hours in pursuit of promotions, recognition, and material possessions that they believe their wife and family desire. However, all of these emotions and actions hinder them from truly living a life of meaning. This ultimately prevents them from becoming the supportive husband and father their wife and kids need.

Do my words resonate with you? The thrill of pursuing your dreams, embarking on new adventures with your wife, or creating cherished moments with your kids seems to have faded. It feels like you’re living a monotonous life: getting up, going to work, coming home, going to bed, and then repeating the cycle—getting up, going to work, coming home, maybe having some intimacy, then going to sleep. This routine continues until… perhaps that’s why you’re reading this article. You may be hoping to discover a way out of this cycle.

I’m here to tell you there is an alternative if YOU ARE willing to do the hard work to Truly Live! You must STOP TRYING to Change and START TRAINING for Transformation!

One hundred sixty-three weeks ago, I made the decision to stop constantly changing myself every time a new adrenaline rush hit me. I was trying to protect myself from my fears: the fear of rejection, the fear of failure, and the fear that people would discover my shame. I felt an overwhelming guilt of never being good enough. The adrenaline rush wasn’t positive; it only offered a temporary numbness. I was deeply afraid that once my wife and kids learned I was just pretending, they would leave me for good. What made it even more difficult was the message I received growing up: I was told that men should never address or focus on their emotions because doing so was a sign of weakness.

Once I decided to stop trying to change and began focusing on permanent transformation, my life improved steadily—though not overnight. I’m still on this Epic Adventure, but the rush I feel today doesn’t come from past fears. Instead, it comes from the confidence that whatever challenges I face will continue to transform me and help me grow into the man I was meant to be!

Start today by taking these three action steps:
